The Perfect Day in Paris

24 Hours of Activities, Museums and Romance in the City of Lights

Paris is one of those cities offering so much to see and do, one can build an entire 24 hours around several different activities which all add up to a the perfect day.

The City of Lights has it all - attractions, museums, night life, activities and places to see. Deciding what to fit in or leave out can be difficult, but here is a suggestion for the perfect way to spend a single day.

Where to Start

Forget the overpriced, stuffy and touristy neighborhoods near the Avenue des Champs-Élysées and instead stay near the St. German district or Latin Quarter. The prices are better and it is much livelier. Wake up and take a walk on one of the cobblestone streets and grab a cafe au lait and pain chocolate from one of the patisseries or a street corner vender. Stroll down the St-Germain-des-Prés and head to the Musée d’Orsay.

Musée d'Orsay

The Musée d'Orsay opened in 1986 and is located in the former Orsay rail station. It draws over three million visitors per year and is one of the best places in the world to see works of impressionist, post-impressionist and turn-of-the-century art. By closely studying the guides, one can spend only a morning while still getting to see some of the finest works of Pierre Auguste Renoir, Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet.

River Seine and Paris Boat Tours

After visiting the museum, eat at one the many cafes along the River Seine and hop on one of the many boat tours. After a circling around Notre Dame Cathedral, hop off at the Eiffel Tower.

Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is one of the most recognizable configurations in the world. Erected over 120 years ago in celebration of the French Revolution, the top of the Eiffel Tower overlooks the city skyline and is a must see for any visit to Paris. Plan to experience all four floors of this breathtaking structure.

Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Elysees

A short walk from the Eiffel Tower leads to the magnificent Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe. The view is breathtaking at night when the streets are lined with millions of twinkling lights hanging from the trees. All of the best high end stores and Parisian cafes can be found here.

Crazy Horse Paris

The Crazy Horse is a Paris institution and has been in the City of Lights for over 55 years. The Crazy Horse is one of the sexiest nightspots in the city and has some of best burlesque and cabaret. The Crazy Horse is known all over the world has drawn international attention and celebrity guests like Madonna, Elvis Presley, Elizabeth Taylor and President John F. Kennedy to check-out this famous hotspot. Enjoy champagne on ice while catching the show to make for a sensual end to the perfect day in Paris.

From a morning stroll on cobblestone streets, to artistic masterpieces, to a cruise on the Seine, to one of the most famous streets in the world to a fun-filled evening, Paris offers everything visitors need to have the perfect day.
