Paris Beauvais Tillé Aéroport (BVA) is the third largest airport serving the French capital. It is currently only used by low-cost airlines Ryanair, Wizz Air, and Blue Air making cheap ground transportation a logical extension of the budget fares and cheap tickets these airlines are famous for. Shuttle buses running between the airport and Porte Maillot in Paris are the most logical way of getting to the airport but trains, taxis, and private cars are possible alternatives. By Car to Paris Beauvais Airport (BVA)Paris Beauvais Airport (BVA) is around 80 km (50 miles) to the northwest of the French capital. From motorway A16, use exit 15 (Beauvais-Nord) towards Amiens and from Tillé follow the “Aéroport” signs. Being further from the French capital than Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports, Beauvais Airport is ideal for picking up or dropping off rental cars, especially if not planning to drive in Paris itself. Beauvais is within easy driving distance of Normandy, Northern France, and Belgium.
Shuttle Buses between Porte Maillot and Paris Beauvais Airport (BVA)Most foreign travelers use the shuttle bus between Paris Beauvais Airport and Porte Maillot around a kilometer (just over half a mile) to the west of the Arc de Triomphe. Traveling time is around 75 minutes. Tickets may be bought online or on the bus – reservations are not possible (or necessary). Shuttle buses depart from Paris Beauvais Airport around 20 to 30 minutes after plane arrivals. Buses from Porte Maillot depart three hours plus at least 15 minutes bus check-in time before scheduled flights. Only passengers with flight tickets may use these buses with the flights served by specific buses listed on the front of each bus. Buses depart from Parking Pershing at Porte Maillot across the road from the Palais des Congres exhibition center and the Hotel Concord Lafayette. Port Maillot is a stop on Metro Line 1 (towards La Defense / Grande Arche from central Paris) or Neuilly-Porte Maillot on RER Line C (towards Argenteuil or Montigny-Beauccamp).
By Train & Taxi to Paris Beauvais Airport (BVA)The shuttle bus to Porte Maillot and metro or RER to further destinations are generally the best way to travel from Beauvais Airport but for some destinations, using the train from Beauvais train station to Paris Gare du Nord may also be convenient. Around 20 connections are available daily taking just over an hour for direct trains and around 90 minutes if a transfer is required at Gare de Creil.
A shuttle bus also runs a few times per day from the airport to Beauvais town center with stops en route at the train station and at several hotels. Taxis & Shuttles to Paris Beauvais Airport (BVA)Private shuttle services can of course also be reserved (usually at least 48 hours in advance) for transportation between Paris Beauvais Airport and any destination in the region. Standard taxis from the airport to central Paris or other Parisian airports will cost at least €120.
