Many travelers prefer the convenience of taxis, private airport shuttles, or the Les Cars Air France buses but standard public transportation is cheaper. Suburban RER and Metro Trains to Paris-Orly Airport (ORY)Suburban RER trains and the standard Paris Métro do not run directly to Paris-Orly Airport. However, dedicated transportation is available from some RER and metro stations to Orly Airport. Trains run generally from around 5 am to 11 pm with frequencies of every 15 to 30 minutes. RER Line C – Pont de Rungis & Paris par le Train BusesThe cheapest way to Orly Airport from downtown Paris is to use RER line C to the station Pont de Rungis / Aéroport d’Orly. From here, use the “Paris par le Train” shuttle bus service to the airport.

From downtown Paris to Orly, use trains with Massy-Palaiseau or Pont de Rungis as final destination. RER line C trains stop amongst others at Gare d’Austerlitz, Saint-Denis-Notre-Dame, Invalides, and Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel. Traveling time from Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame to Pont de Rungis is around 30 minutes. The “Paris par le train” shuttle bus service from Pont de Rungis to the airport takes around 10 minutes with the bus stopping at Terminal Orly Ouest (exit G) and Terminal Orly Sud (exit F).

Stops on the RER line B include amongst others Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame, Châtelet-Les Halles, Gare du Nord, and Charles de Gaulle Airport.
