Low-cost airlines have cheap tickets on flights to Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS) in France's Rhône-Alpes region. Many North African cities are also easily reached.

EasyJet and other low-cost airlines fly to Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS), the fourth busiest airport in France. This allow for cheap tickets on some flights helping to make Lyon Airport a popular springboard for travelers to the nearby winter sport resorts such as Grenoble in the French Alps.

Despite an astonishing number of Michelin star rated restaurants, Lyon is still more a business than tourist destination. As a result, a huge number of flights are available on traditional airlines to most major European cities. North African destinations are also well served with several airlines flying to especially Algerian and Moroccan cities from Lyon.

  • Lyon Airport is formally called Aéroport Lyon-Saint Exupéry after the locally-born writer and aviation enthusiast Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
