A Warm Welcome at the Hotel MinerveParis Hotels are Noted for their Hospitality: Not Least this one
Éric and Sylvie run Éric's second hotel (he also owns the Familia next door) with their characteristic energy and eagerness to please: that friendly touch is here too.
About the HotelThe street outside this hotel buzzes with stimulating university life. Inside the hotel, the newly red-carpeted, creamy-walled corridors lead to rooms that often use the classic cunning bed alcove for storage space to make up for limited size. The higher you are in the hotel the longer the view to Notre Dame and the Seine (on the street side of course) – the hotel’s top-floor rooms have some wild and wonderful timbers over their quirky shapes and some rich red, gold and ivory colour schemes. The walls in the hotel have been redecorated with those excellent sepia murals of French monuments, all different. The hotel’s décor varies from brightly contemporary to soothingly ancient, there are damask and satin, timber and tile, some nice old pieces of furniture and gilt-framed mirrors, all new beds, some recent built-in cupboards, decent bathrooms that, again, vary in size. The hotel lobby and sitting areas are generously big, light and airy with pleasant repro furniture, tapestries and bookcases. This is a deserving neighbour to the Familia with its long-standing reputation for value and warm-heartedness. A quality equalled by the Hotel Minerve.
